Usage:

ann F

annihilator F
Inputs:
- F, a coherent sheaf,
Optional inputs:
- Strategy => a symbol, default value null, either Quotient or Intersection; see annihilator(...,Strategy=>...)
Outputs:
- an ideal, the annihilator ideal

Description

The annihilator of a sheaf of modules $\mathcal F$ is the ideal corresponding to the kernel of the map of sheaves $$ \mathcal O_X \to \mathcal Hom_{\mathcal O_X}(\mathcal F, \mathcal F).b $$

You may use ann as a synonym for annihilator.
