• Usage:

  matrix r

• Inputs:
  • r, a ring element
• Optional inputs:
  • Degree => ..., default value null, create a matrix from a doubly-nested list of ring elements or matrices
• Outputs:
  • a matrix, the one by one matrix with r as its single entry
